Activities Mariposa Is ideally situated at the southern most
point of Cordoba Province - just 1hr away from the coast and it's bustling resorts, 50 minutes from the splendid city
of Granada, 1.5 hrs from Cordoba and 2hrs from Seville. If your ideal holiday is to explore then there is much on offer within
easy reach but also plenty of local activities to make the most of your stay. - Horse riding is available in Salinas, which is a 10 minute drive from
Mariposa Blanca.
- Tennis is available at the club in Loja, about 20 minutes drive.
Walking,
there are numerous mapped walks throughout the very picturesque Subbetica National park to suit amblers through to hikers.
Bird watching tours are available in the Granada and surrounding area. Fishing is available on lake Iznajar. Golf, there are many courses in
the region our closest being Antequera approximately 30 minutes drive from us. Skiing in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Ski resorts is only 40 minutes drive and caters for all levels.

CuisineI
There are many bars and restaurants in the surrounding villages a few suggestions
follow:
La Haza, a intimate restaurant with up to 12 covers, serving fantastic international cusine. There are wonderful
views of the surrounding country sideand it is only 5 minutes drive from Mariposa Blanca.A firm favourite with previous
guests.
Los Cominos, is the nearest bar being 5 minutes drive or 30 minute walk.
Montesillo is
about 8 minutes drive, serves tapas, menu del dias and traditional Andalucian meals.
Los Pajaritos is again a restaurant
serving traditional Andalucian meals, the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and is located in the nearby village of Fuente
de Conde.
El Jaleo bar is as traditonal as you will find, serving fantastic cooked to order tapas and is on the
main road to Rute just the other side of Lake Iznajar (10 minutes drive).
Media Luna (Beachbar), is set in a beautiful
location by the beach on Lake Iznajar. fantastic BBQ food and traditional Andalucin meals (10 minutes drive)
